Homeland

This drama tells the story of Lolek, a 25 years old Holocaust survivor who comes to Eretz Israel in 1948 and finds himself involved in a war that he doesn’t seem to grasp. Stranger to the Language and to the new identity he was given, he is put on top of hot hill by his commander who is trying to turn him into a “sabar”. Distress by longings and by the searing sun, Lulek goes to look for a little bit of shadow. Finally, imiganing himself sailing back to Poland and departing for the last time from his parents.
