Memories of a river

Set in 1882 at the mountain wilderness of the Austro-Hungarian Empire, this film tells the story of a Jewish raftman who is accused of drowning a girl in the river Tisza in a "Jewish ritual murder". In a following court trial his son is forced by the district attorney to testify against him and a uproar breaks out at the surprise announcement of the defendants' acquittal.
