The documentary explores the phenomenon known as “Kapo”, the inmate functionaries who were selected by the Germans to be responsible other inmates tasks in the Nazi concentration camps. Shot in four countries: Israel, Germany, Poland and Australia, “Kapo” was the first Israeli film to be awarded the “Emmy” Award as the best documentary for the year 2000.
