Episode 20 - " Genocide 1941-1945" When the Nazis came to power in 1933, Heinrich Himmler was already Reichsfuhrer SS. The new status of the Nazi party enabled him to try to realize the dream of the German race. For some time he had redefined the philosophy of Nazism, and ideas of the movement about politics and race. His aims moved in the direction of creating a new "Aryan" Germany. This episode deals with the race policy of Nazi Germany and annihilation of the Jews and other populations during the war. The ideological motivations for annihilating the Jewish people, the methodical planning, and ways of executing "The Final Solution". Includes archival films and testimonies, among others also by the author Primo Levi and Auschwitz survivor Rudolf Vrba. Narration by the British actor Laurence Olivier.
