Episode 7: "On Our Way - America Enters The War, USA 1939-1942": The confrontations in Europe and in the countries of the Pacific Ocean are two separate wars. Many Americans are prepared to forget about Hitler and concentrate their war efforts against Japan. President Roosevelt is obligated to the struggle against Hitler, but not the Congress. Unexpectedly, Hitler declares war against the USA and thereby eases the president's difficult decision. In the final analysis the USA is the one that will change the direction of the war.
