The film examines the period after WWII between the years 1945-1948, the Jewish war refugees and efforts to reach Eretz Israel, displaced persons camps, the internment camps in Cyprus. Includes archival films and testimonies. Narration by actor Morgan Freeman. "The Long Way Home" won the Oscar Award in 1997 in the category of best full length documentary film.
