The Catcher of the Clouds

Documentary film about life and art of an Israeli, Moravia-born painter Peretz Béda Mayer (1906-2002) and his best friend, cartoonist Fritz Händel (1910-1945). The story embraces prewar time in Czechoslovakia, Jewish refugees' escape from Nazi Europe in 1939-1940, arriving in Israel and forceful detainment at Mauritius Island till 1945, then Beda's re-aliya to Palestine-Israel, and his Israeli life and artistic activities.
