Green Fields

Based on the popular play by Peretz Hirschbein, the film tells the story of an orphaned Lithuanian scholar who leaves the Yeshiva to find "true Jews" and learns some unexpected lessons from the Jewish peasants who take him in as a boarder and tutor for their children.
