Mussolini’s regime has already instituted anti-Jewish policies, yet the Finzi Continis are oblivious to the rising storm, and continue to live their life of comfort, unaware of the approaching disaster. “The Garden of the Finzi Continis” received an Academy Award for Best Foreign Film in 1971.
