In the center of this drama the issue of sport and war and is is considered as one of the most classical films sport films of all times. During World War II, a group of Allies prisoners of war prepare themselves for a football (Soccer) match against SS officers, their captors, and at the same time they organize an escape from the camp. The famous Brazilian football player, Pele, participates in the film. Based in part on a true story that took place in a Nazi camp in Kiev, Ukraine.
