A play. Salvatore Alhadeff, from Rhodes Island, believed that his fiancee had perished at Auschwitz and she thought he had perished. Several decades later, while on holiday in Cape Town, he discovered that she had survived and was now a grandmother living in Europe and he was now a grandfather living in Johannesburg. He reached out to her. His son Vic Alhadeff, who is based in Sydney, Australia, has written a play about his father's story.
