The Furance

Movies
A Documentary and personal memory. The film was created by the director about his grandfather, Pinchas Zelikowski, who was a Holocaust survivor and the only survivor of his entire family. Pinchas survived the Lodz ghetto and the Buchenwald concentration camp. After immigrating to Israel, he worked in an industrial furnace factory. In 1962, he was called to an extraordinary mission: to design and build an oven to burn the body of a Nazi war criminal. The charts of the stove he built were found on the estate of painter Tully Ziv, the director's father. Noam, Tuly’s son makes the juxtaposition between his father and the people who took part in the process of Eichmann’s execution.
