Propaganda film. "Unternehmen Teutonenschwert" was the code word for the murder of King Alexander I of Yugoslavia, and Louis Barthou (Franch Foreign Minister) on 09.09.1934, which was organized by order of the German military secret service. With the use of documents, the film shows the responsibility which Hans Speidel had for the murder and who was the commander of the Nato land forces in central Europe in 1958. Furthermore Speidel is revealed as being the organizer of the "Taktik der verbrannten Erde" (scorched earth policy) in the war against the Soviet Union, and of betraying Field Marshal Erwin Rommel to the Gestapo. The documents are supported by personal statements made by, for example, his son, Manfred Rommel. By manipulating the picture material, such as a sudden enlargement of a freeze-frame, Speidel is exposed, for example in a group of officers observing the destruction of Ukranian factories
