A television-series on the Polish military resistance during World War II, focusing on the trials of a group of special operations officers as they attempt to carry out their missions. After completing training in England they are parachuted into Poland and begin their secret work, trying to contact military partisans while avoiding Nazi sympathizers and counter-intelligence. Captain Konarski leads a team of four well-trained soldiers: Bronek, Janek, Wladek, and Michal who soon find themselves in many unexpected and dangerous situations. Emotionally charged, the series also examines the soldiers' families and how their relationships are affected by the missions. Stress and action fill every chapter, and the prestigious production leads to a reliable presentation of Warsaw in 1941.
