Speechless

A documentary. The persecution of Germans in Brazil in the 40s, during the Second World War. To join the Allies, Brazil has considered the Axis countries, Germany, Italy, Japan, and their enemies, so Japanese, Germans and Italians began to be persecuted , forbidden to speak their language in public or disclose their cultures and even placed in concentration camps. The movie includes interviews of people in Blumenau, Pomerode, Joinville, Florianópolis, Brusque, Jaragua do Sul Balneario Camboriu . Also used the photo albums and old recordings of the families interviewed. The ekdeky got stuck at home because they could not speak Portuguese, communities that have had to live with the fear , racism and oblivion of their origins.
