Hearsay testimony of Shabtai Keshev regarding the proposal of the heads of the Polish [Catholic] Church to rescue the last three rabbis in the Warsaw Ghetto Memoirs of Shabtai Keshev from his meetings with Rabbi David Shapiro at the Fuerth DP camp, late 1945. At one of their meetings, Rabbi Shapiro told Shabtai of the proposal of the heads of the Polish [Catholic] Church to rescue him along with Rabbi Menachem Ziemba and Rabbi Samson Stockhammer during the liquidation of the Warsaw Ghetto.
