Testimony of Irena (Feuerman) Zalcstein, regarding the murder of 16 Jews who were hiding in a hiding place with a Polish family in Kolomyja in August 1943
In hiding were 17 Jews from the Kolomyja Ghetto: three children, three youths and the remainder of the people who were between 30-70 years of age; all of them lived in inhuman conditions from December 1942-August 1943. The Polish family received money in exchange for the hiding place and for the services they supplied. Germans arrived to the hiding place in August 1943 after the Jews were informed on, and the Jews dispersed themselves in all directions....
