In her diary Greti writes many words of praise for Boris III, the King of Bulgaria, who rescued the Jews. The diary begins on 05 September 1943, the day the king was buried (he died 28 August 1943). On the first page of the diary Greti writes of 10 March 1943, the day the Jews were concentrated in Plovdiv for deportation to Poland...
