Reports prepared by the regional branch of the Centralverein - CV (Central Association of German Citizens of the Jewish Faith) in Hesse-Nassau, regarding the persecution of local Jews, 17/11/1934-28/10/1938 Reports regarding various incidents of persecution of Jews in the Hesse-Nassau area, including: - Ban on making purchases in Jewish businesses; registration and photographing of people who violate the ban; imposition of economic sanctions on violators of the ban; - Ban on the sale, supply or giving of all other services to Jews and Jewish businesses; registration and photographing of people who violate the ban; imposition of economic sanctions on violators of the ban; - Throwing of stones on Jews passing-by and on school pupils of Jewish origin, done mainly by youths; - Abuse of their Jewish classmates by school pupils; - Throwing of stones and breaking windows of homes, store fronts and businesses; throwing of stones and breaking of windows and doors of synagogues; - Desecration of Torah scrolls; - Ban on the entrance [arrival] of new Jewish residents to places of settlement; - Revocation of civic rights [of Jews]; - Marking of Jewish homes and businesses; painting of antisemitic inscriptions on walls; - Propaganda flyers and signs with antisemitic content, produced by the NSDAP (Nazi Party) and party assistants; - [Use of] dolls portraying Jews, as antisemitic caricatures; - Verbal violence toward Jews, done in particular by youths.
