Testimony of Esther Mirovski Asael, born in Bedzin, Poland in 1928, regarding her experiences ‎in the Bendin Ghetto and in various camps, including Dulak, Peterswaldau, Klettendorf, and ‎Gogolin Occupation and life under German rule in 1939; deportation to the Bendin Ghetto in 1941; labor in ‎a sewing workshop making uniforms for the German army; sleeping at night with her mother in the ‎factory where her father worked, outside the ghetto, out of fear of the selections; deportation to ‎a transit camp in Sosnowiec in 1943; transfer to the concentration camp in Annaberg, Germany in ‎‎1943; deportation to the Gogolin work camp in 1943; maintenance work and loading sacks of ‎cement in a Luftwaffe (German air force) camp; deportation to the Peterswaldau work camp in ‎‎1944; forced labor in a German factory; liberation by the Russians in 1945; return to Bedzin in ‎‎1945; joining the Hapoel Hamizrahi movement; attempt to sneak over the border to ‎Czechoslovakia; arrest and detention for one month; release by guarantors and bribery and illegal ‎border crossing to Aschback, Germany in 1946 for training; attempted illegal aliya on the Aliya Bet ‎ship Shabtai Luzinsky; detention camp in Cyprus in 1947; repeat aliya in 1948; absorption.‎
