Daughter of a traditional Zionist family in Lodz; studies at a Polish school; activity in the Zionist youth movement; outbreak of the war in 1939; the escape of the father and brother to Warsaw; the return of the father and brother; her parents’ death from starvation; work sorting clothes; ill with typhus; deportation to Auschwitz-Birkenau camp with younger brother; the brother’s death in the camp; labor in a weapons factory; transfer to Theresienstadt; liberation by the Red Army; life in the Landsberg DP camp; marriage; aliya to Eretz Israel in 1946; absorption and rehabilitation.
