David Horvitz, a resident of Lodz, was married to Yehudit; they had three children: Rivka-Rachel; Chaya; and Abraham-Shlomo. In the summer of 1939, David planned a visit to Antwerp with his family, but his son was sick, and needed an operation. Yehudit and the children remained in Lodz, and David went to Antwerp intending to make the preparations...
