Testimony of Jeanette (Wexler) Katz, born in Paris, France, 1939, regarding her experiences as a toddler being hidden in a convent near Limoges
Entrusted, at the age of 3, to a convent near Limoges in the Vichy area, by an emissary from the JDC, 1942; survival of her parents in forests in the Paris area; life in the convent in a group of eight Jewish girls; treatment by the nuns; punishments; denial of food; end of the war.
Transfer to a foster family in the Limoges area for a year and a half; difficult reunion with her "stranger" parents, 1946; return to Paris; transfer to a boarding school due to the family's financial difficulties; emigration of the family to Venezuela; aliya to Israel, 1961.
