From a religious family; early childhood; death of his father from an illness, 1932; move to live with his grandparents in Hajduhadhaz; learns in a yeshiva in Volove; move to Budapest, after aproximately a year, 1938; life in Budapest, until 1944.
German occupation, March 1944; concentration in the Budapest Ghetto; ghetto life for approximately one month; drafted to a labor battalion in the Nagykata area; labor logging trees and clearing them in order to build an air field in the area; camp life; living conditions and treatment of the inmates; death march towards Austria, autumn 1944; short stopover in Kenyeri and labor in a local airfield during the October Revolution; continuing on the forced march in Hungary and Austria until Mauthausen; in Mauthausen for several months; stay in Mauthausen while sleeping outdoors; meeting his brother; continuing the forced march until Gunskirchen; camp conditions; stay in Gunskirchen without food; liberation by the US Army, 05 May 1945.
Hospitalization for approximately two months; return home; reunion with his mother and three siblings; move to Germany, 1946; aliya to Eretz Israel with forged documents, 1947; life in Eretz Israel.
