Soviet occupation, 1940; cessation of Zionist activity; nationalization of property; German-Romanian occupation, summer 1941; murder of Jews on the streets; robbery of property by the local population; deportation to Transnistria, autumn 1941; murder of her father en route; arrival at Sumovka after a few months; hunger; crowding; typhus; death of her mother; fear of the Ukrainian militia; labor for Ukrainian farmers in exchange for food; contact with the partisans; liberation by the Red Army, early 1944. Return to Romania; life after the war; unsuccessful aliya attempt to Eretz Israel and detention in Cyprus; return aliya to Eretz Israel, 1947.
