Testimony of Judith (Moshkovitz) Natt, born in Uzhorod, Czechoslovakia, 1932, regarding her experiences in Uzhorod, Budapest, the Uzhorod Ghetto and in hiding in Budapest Hungarian Army occupation [of Uzhorod]; life under Hungarian occupation, 1938; increase in the displays of antisemitism; importance to the Hungarians of the brick factory owned by her father; German Army occupation [of Uzhorod], 1944; Germans take control of the factory owned by her father; her family receives a special permit from the Hungarian Minister of the Interior and an exemption from the anti-Jewish restrictions imposed on the Uzhorod Jews; travel by her family to Budapest in order to extend the permit; concentration of the Uzhorod Jews in the brick factory owned by her family; start of the deportations, 1944; detention by Hungarian Gendarmerie men; deportation to the Uzhorod Ghetto in the "Gluk" lumber factory, after being informed on; deportation to Auschwitz, 1944; removal of her family members from the train at the border of Hungary and Slovakia, due to an Hungarian permit in their possession; move back home; move to Budapest; in hiding in the small hotel of a non-Jewish Hungarian woman [in Budapest], while using a false identity; move to a marked Jewish house, 1944; transfer of her parents to Austria on foot; deportation of her father to Buchenwald, 1944; return of her mother to Budapest; in hiding in the small Hungarian hotel due to the fear of round-ups [Razzien], until the liberation; liberation by the Red Army, January 1945. Her father's return; life in Budapest under Communist rule after the war; emigration to Paris, 1949; ORT vocational aliya training; emigration to Toronto, Canada, 1950; aliya to Israel, 1962.
