Restrictions on the Jews; information received regarding life of the Jews under German occupation; Red Army occupation [of Lipcani Targ]; releasing Communists from prisons; deportation of the wealthy to Siberia, 1939; life under Romanian rule, 1941; escape of Jews out of fear of retaliation; burning of [Lipcani Targ] by the Red Army; deportation of Jews by [the] Roman [authority]; deportation of Jews on foot without food and water; exchanging valuables for food; death of his father; death of his grandfather; death of his grandmother; halt at Atachi; crossing over the Dniester River on rafts including throwing people into the raging river; attitude of the Ukrainian population towards the refugees; receiving aid and food without giving anything in return; meeting with Jews from Bukovina; receiving food and clothing from Romanian Jews and from the JDC; an orphanage [?]; agricultural labor in various kolkhozy; [receiving food from] the central kitchen; transfer to Tulchin; setting up classes; labor in a peat field; liberation by the Red Army.
