Testimony of Tzvi Erenreich Amid, born in Przemysl, Poland in 1932, regarding his experiences as a child in Przemysl, Yarmasa and Tashkent Life before the war; educated, Zionist family originally from the Silesia area; unsuccessful attempt to make aliya to Eretz Israel via Romania in 1939; Soviet occupation; transfer to Yarmasa; transfer to Tashkent in 1941; release of his father; joins the Zwiazek Patriotow Polskich - ZPP (Organization of Polish Patriots); Return to Poland and move to Wloclawek in June 1946; activities in the Towarzystwo Ochrony Zdrowia Ludnosci Zydowskiej w Polsce (TOZ) organization, including help to refugees; relinquishes his Polish citizenship in 1949; aliya to Israel on the "Galila" ship in 1950.
