Testimony of Aharon Lencicky, born in Lodz, Poland, 1921, regarding his experiences in Lodz, Bialystok, Ural, Tashkent, Irbith and Hindenburg German Army occupation of Lodz, 1939; life under German occupation including forced labor; travel restrictions and anti-Jewish decrees; escape to Bialystok, December 1939; life in Bialystok under Soviet rule; move to initiated labor in a mine in the Moscow area, 1940; transfer to a labor camp producing bricks in Ural, 1940; release from the camp; move to Tashkent, 1941; outbreak of the war between Germany and the Soviet Union, 1941; transfer with a labor battalion to Irbirth in the Ural area, 1941; end of the war, May 1945. Move back to Lodz, 1945; move with a Gordonia movement settlers' group to Hindenburg DP camp with help from the Bericha organization, 1946; illegal aliya attempt to Eretz Israel on the "Theodor Herzl" ship; detention in Cyprus, 1947; aliya to Eretz Israel, 1948.
