Kristallnacht, November 1938; deportation of his father to Buchenwald; his parents' escape to England; his parents' escape to the United States; witness' activities as a counselor on the Kindertransport [en route] to England; meets his future wife; detention of the people in the group; transfer of the people in the group to a detention camp in Manchester; discovery of several spies among the refugees from Germany, Czechoslovakia and Austria; draft of some of the refugees into the British Army. Aliya to Eretz Israel on a British Navy ship, 1945.
