Testimony of Zeev Walter Weil, born in Frankfurt Am Main, Germany, 1918, regarding his experiences in Frankfurt Am Main and Manchester His childhood in a well-to-do, traditional family; his family had roots in Germany, from 1700; his father was a [German Army] soldier in combat during World War I; activities in the Ebd [?] youth movement and in Maccabi Hatzair. Kristallnacht, November 1938; deportation of his father to Buchenwald; his parents' escape to England; his parents' escape to the United States; witness' activities as a counselor on the Kindertransport [en route] to England; meets his future wife; detention of the people in the group; transfer of the people in the group to a detention camp in Manchester; discovery of several spies among the refugees from Germany, Czechoslovakia and Austria; draft of some of the refugees into the British Army. Aliya to Eretz Israel on a British Navy ship, 1945.
