Testimony of Michael Yerachmiel Cymerman, born in Chocienczyce, Poland, 1927, regarding his experiences in Chocienczyce, the Chocienczyce Ghetto, in forests, Radoszkowice and in the Red Army Red Army occupation of Chocienczyce; life under Soviet rule, 1939; German Army occupation [of Chocienczyce], 1941; deportation to the Chocienczyce Ghetto; Chocienczyce Ghetto life including forced labor under the supervision of Polish Gendarmerie men and Ukrainian Militia men; escape to forests near Chocienczyce with his family members, 1942; help from non-Jewish villagers with the supply of food and a place to hide; life in the forests under the protection of the Soviet partisans; witness' brother joins the partisans, 1942; liberation by the Red Army, summer 1944; move back to Radoszkowice, 1944; draft into the Red Army; service in the Minsk area, late 1944; death of his brother as a Red Army soldier in eastern Germany, 1945.
