Romania joins the war, 1940; hiding of their valuables with their neighbors; deportation to the Baia Mare Ghetto; deportation on a train to Auschwitz; separation between men and women; selection by Dr. Mengele; tattooing of number 12473 on her arm; life in Auschwitz in Block 20, Camp C, together with her mother and another 1,200 women, including fasting on Yom Kippur; transfer to Block 16 in Camp B in Auschwitz; transfer to Block 3 in Goerlitz camp; camp life including labor in shifts in an OP aircraft parts factory; Red Army occupation of the area.
