Testimony of Eva (Balsam) Zweig, born in Debica, Poland, 1921, regarding her experiences in Debica, Sniatyn, using a false identity and in Krakow German Army occupation of Debica, 1939; deportation of her father to forced labor; confiscation of the home and textile store [of her family], 1941; deportation to the Debica Ghetto; Debica Ghetto life including labor; "Aktions", 1941-1942; transfer of her sister to a Polish acquaintance outside the ghetto; move of her family to outside the ghetto, using forged documents with help from a Polish acquaintance, 1942; life in Sniatyn while using a false identity as a Polish Christian woman, 1942; work for Julia Dencevitz; fear of being informed on and fear of betrayal; search for the witness by the chairman of the Judenrat, Imerglik; life with Antonina Andrievitz, 1943; receives information regarding the transfer of her family to the Krakow Ghetto; receives information regarding the death of her brother, 1943; attempts to move to Debica; detention by the NKWD; liberation. Move to Krakow, 1946; life in Poland under the Communist regime; aliya to Israel, 1969.
