Testimony of Reuben Cohen, born in Dorohoi, Romania, 1929, regarding his experiences in Dorohoi, Transnistria, Olyanitsa and a kolkhoz His childhood in a village, including displays of antisemitism in the school; his family's shop is set on fire; move of his family to Dorohoi. Murder of his mother and sister during a pogrom, June 1941; deportation to Transnistria; well-to-do Jews remain, in exchange for bribery; march to Olyanitsa camp; transfer to a kolkhoz in Berezovka; life in the kolkhoz including labor in agriculture and mortality due to hunger and disease; death of his father; receives help from the Ukrainian population. Move back to Dorohoi, December 1943 [should be: 1944]; activities in the Bnei Akiva movement; life after the war; aliya to Israel, 1950.
