Red Army occupation of Siedliszcze; German Army occupation of Siedliszcze; life under German occupation including the imposition of anti-Jewish restrictions, acts of abuse, curfew, informing on and the murder of Jews; escape of her older brothers to the Soviet Union; activities of the Judenrat in the deportation of Jews to forced labor, as of winter 1940; selection, 1942; deportation of 27 young women to labor in agriculture; murder of 25 of the young women; move back to Siedliszcze; concentration of the remaining Jews; escape; in hiding while hidden by an estate owner; receives a birth certificate from a priest; request for a hiding place from a Polish woman friend; acquaintance with a midwife; work as an assistant to the midwife; move between hiding places while using her identity card; liberation, 1944.
