His childhood in Ponowez; attends a Tarbut school; membership in the Maccabi movement, 1933; increase in antisemitism; move to Kaunas; vocational studies in an ORT school; marriage at the age of 19; move back to Ponowez, 1941.
Red Army occupation of Ponowez; move back to Kaunas; escape to Pinsk on a bicycle; move to forests with his wife with help from a young Belorussian man; escape to the Soviet border; meets relatives in Ufa; life in Ufa including work move to Buzuluk; receives a draft order for the Anders Army; move to Mari by train by means of the draft order; life with his sister who worked as a district attorney; draft into the Lithuanian Division of the Red Army; combat in the Memle Witebsk Oriol [?] area and in Latvia; release.
Move to Vilna; life after the war; aliya to Israel, 1974.
