German Army occupation of Budapest, 1944; eviction from their home; move to relatives in Pest; life in a marked house; inability to descend to the shelter during air-raids; receives help to obtain food, by a Christian friend of her sister; move to a Swiss protected house with two sisters; deportation to Ravensbrueck by Arrow Cross men; camp life including labor removing potatoes from the frozen earth, for six weeks; transfer to Freiburg with a group; Freiburg camp life including labor in a factory; death march to Czechoslovakia for a period of one month, March 1945; escape; receives help from Czech farmers; liberation, three days later, 06 May 1945.
Hospitalization in an American field hospital, for approximately one month; return home; life in a sanatorium, for approximately one year; emigration to the United States, 1947.
