Outbreak of the war in Topolcany; deportation to Novaky camp with his family; camp life including forced labor by his parents, 1942; transfer to Banska Bystrica, 1944; in hiding in the Tatra Mountains, with help from local partisans; liberation in Stare Hory, 1944. Move back to Topolcany; life after the war; aliya to Israel via Italy, on the "Medeks" ship, 1949.
