Outbreak of the war, 1939; decision by his family to escape; move to Wlodzimierz; life in Wlodzimierz; deportation by the Soviets, May 1940; wanderings by train for approximately two months; arrival to Asino camp; camp life for several months; receives permission to move to the Ural area; wanderings in Central Asia; move to a kolkhoz in Uzbekistan; life in the kolkhoz including his family's work harvesting cotton; battle for Stalingrad including morbidity and the shortage of food; death of his brother, father and sister, spring 1942; stealing of food; dealing in trade; move to Bukhara. Life in Bukhara including dealing in trade until 1946; move back to Poland; "kibbutz" of the general Zionists; move to Germany; aliya to Israel with his family, 1949; life in Israel.
