Life under Soviet rule including hunger, 1939-1940; German Army officers in their home, 1941; escape to a forest near Turka; rescue by Jewish Hungarian forced laborers in Monktabor [?] camp near Sanka, 1942; deportation from the synagogue; rescue in Berkesz; fostered by a family in Budapest, 1943-1944; illegally crosses the border to Arad, June 1944; aliya to Eretz Israel with Aliya Bet from the port of Constanta, August 1944; deportation from the "Mefkure" ship, which sank; considered dead until 1946; move [and aliya] to Eretz Israel, August 1944. Life in Israel.
