Deportation to Transnistria; life in Shargorod, including hunger; murder of his father by beatings; move of his family to Mogilev by his uncles; life in Mogilev in a room that contained four families; trade on the black market; Allied shelling; liberation of Mogilev by the Red Army; attitude of the soldiers toward the children, including cultural activities and giving them food and clothing. Move back to Romania, 1944; receives help from the community in Iasi; receives help from the JDC; move back to Suceava; life in Suceava including the return of property; attends school and activities in Bnei Akiva and Hapoel Hamizrachi; aliya to Israel, 1950; life in Israel.
