Deportation of his father and brother to a labor camp, March 1944; deportation of the Jews to the Budapest Ghetto and to protected houses of foreign embassies; draft of young people and adults above the age of 55 to labor digging defense trenches; escape; move back to the Budapest Ghetto; transfer of his relatives from Cluj on the Kasztner train; life during the day in an industrial area outside the ghetto; joined to a death march across the Austrian border; hunger in Budapest; winter, 1944-1945; shelling by the Red Army; acts of murder at the Danube River by Arrow army [should be: Arrow Cross Party] men; return with the Romanian Army; liberation. Joins Hashomer Hatzair aliya training in Budapest; preparations for aliya to Eretz Israel; aliya to Israel with an aliya training group from Hungary and Bulgaria on the "Santo Antonio" ship, 01 June 1948; life in Israel.
