Slovakia is given independence; life in Zlate Moravce, including decrees, until 1942; Aryanization of the family business; illegally crosses the border to Budapest with a woman border smuggler, late June 1942; life in Budapest including wanderings in the streets; informed on by the male concierge; detention for 10 days; life in prison for approximately one month; release from the prison; receives a notice about moving to Eretz Israel; travel by train to Istanbul, Turkey, 05 January 1943; receives a certificate to Eretz Israel; move by train to Lebanon; move by bus to Haifa, Eretz Israel, 15 January 1943.
Life in Israel including being wounded in combat during the War of Independence.
