Red Army occupation of Turka; German Army occupation of Turka, 1941; life under German occupation including hunger; "Aktion", 07 January 1942; murder of his father; murder of two sisters; deportation to a labor camp; escape with friends, several weeks later; life in a city [?] until the large "Aktion", August 1942; transfer from the bunker, with other people who were hiding, to the railroad station; joins a labor group in a quarry in place of another person; escape to Carpathian Ruthenia with three men, 16 November 1942; arrival to the border with help from a border smuggler; receives help from Jews; arrival to Uzhorod; move to Budapest; receives help from the JDC; move to Oradea with a group; life in Oradea [disguised] as Christians including work with the Vizhnitzer Rebbe; German Army occupation of Oradea, 1944; escape to Bucharest with help from the Zionist movement, summer 1944; liberation. Black market; detention; escape to Germany; emigration to the United States with his wife and son, 1949; life in the United States.
