Outbreak of the war, 1939; occupation of Lwow by the Soviet Army; move to Vilna with a small group; detention on the border of Lithuania; interrogation by the Soviets; arrival to a Hashomer Hadati "kibbutz" in Vilna, with support from the JDC, 01 January 1940; occupation of Vilna by the Soviet Army; labor logging trees; receives a certificate [to Eretz Israel], early 1941; move to Kaunas; move to Moscow by travel on an aircraft; travel by train [?]; move to Turkey by ship; aliya to Eretz Israel, March 1941; life in Eretz Israel in Kfar Hasidim; establishment of Massuot Yitzhak in Gush Etzion, 1945.
Combat in Israel's War of Independence for approximately one month, until the defeat of Gush Etzion; taken captive by the Jordanians for approximately nine months; return from captivity; re-establishment of Massuot Yitzhak.
