Soviet occupation of Vasilau, 1940; life under Soviet occupation including closure of their shop, trade on the black market, shortage of food and ban on gatherings; German Army occupation of Vasilau, 1941; murder and robbery of property, for a period of three days; deportation to a ghetto; handing over of property to acquaintances for safekeeping; life under German occupation including restrictions on travel; deportation on a freight train to Atachi; transfer to Mogilev, Transnistria; confiscation of valuables and documents, October 1941; transfer on foot to Dzhurin; Jewish community life in Dzhurin; life in hiding, while hidden by farmers, including being hungry; retreat of the German Army. Move back to Cernauti on a wagon; obtains forged documents; move to Cernauti, 1945; move to Bucharest, en route to Eretz Israel; life in an orphanage; joins Agudat Israel; receives help from the JDC; aliya to Eretz Israel with Aliya Bet on the "Haganah" ship; detention in Atlit, 15 August 1946; release; move to Kfar Etzion in Eretz Israel; life in Eretz Israel including the death of her husband; retreat from Kfar Etzion, and gathering of the women and children from Kfar Etzion in the Ratisbonne monastery in Jerusalem, May 1948; reunion of her family.
