Testimony of Haim Yahalom (Diamant), born in 1935 in Prague, Czechoslovakia, about his experiences in Prague and in Theresienstadt ghetto Childhood in Prague; German occupation ensues in 1939; father continues to work in manufacturing with the help of the German factory manager; deportation to Theresienstadt ghetto in 1941; placement in a children's home in the ghetto in 1942; parents work in a ghetto crafts shop, turning put leather accessories for the German Army in 1942; placement in isolation in the hospital hosopital due to typhus and tuberculosis; life in the ghetto, mainly of children, in 1941–1945; preparing the ghetto for a show performance; Red Cross mission visits in 1944; large-scale transports; deportees to extermination camps return in 1944–1945; liberation by Red Army forces in 1945; family returns to Prague in 1945; the Jewish community after the war; father dies en route to Eretz Israel while serving as Czechoslovakian Jewry's envoy to the Maccabiah Games in 1947; immigration into Israel in 1949; adjustment to life in Israel.
