Testimony of Eliezer Albert Templer Dviri, born in Brussels, Belgium, 1933 Escape of the family from Brussels, Belgium before the German occupation of southern France, 1940; in hiding in towns and villages in southwest France under the Vichy government, in Buzet and Le Magny; his siblings' work for French farmers; unsuccessful attempt to escape to Spain; arrest by the Spanish authorities and the family is transferred back to the south of France, 1942; stay in a children's home in southern France via the OSE (Oeuvre de Secours aux Enfants) organization; hidden by a French farmer without the rest of the family; transfer of the family to Lyon; transfer of the family to St. Martin Vesubie, a city in Italian occupied southern France, 1942; transfer of the family to Italy following the surrender of the Italians; help; escape and in hiding in Valdieri, Italy; treatment by the Italians and the help; escape and in hiding from the German Army in the mountains; living with a family of Italian farmers; transfer with his mother, brother and sister to Rome; receiving protection from the Hungarian consul, 1942; in hiding with his brother in a monastery in Rome until liberation by the US Army.
