Outbreak of war, September 1939, transfer to Jadow; return to Warsaw; forced labor in Warsaw; restrictions on movement; yellow badge; deportation to the ghetto, fall 1940; move between hiding places under protection of the activities of Meszulam Kaminer; "Aktion", July 1942; Warsaw Ghetto Uprising, April 1943; escape from the ghetto through trenches and transfer to Prague; liberation, January 1945. Joins Kibbutz Hashomer Hatzair; move to Czechoslovakia and Germany; life in the Bergen-Belsen DP camp; aliya to Israel, May 1948.
