Testimony of Henny Neimann, born in Ludwigshafen, Germany, 1928, regarding her experiences in Zbaszyn, Mannheim, in a children's home in France and in Switzerland Her family is originally from Poland; childhood in a religious family; life in Germany until 1938; preparations for emigration to the US. Sudden deportation of the family to Zbaszyn, Poland, late October 1938; short stay in the place; permit given to return to Germany to complete emigration preparations; refusal of visa; life in Mannheim until 1939. Deportion of her father to Dachau; deportation with her mother and brothers to the Gurs camp, France; transfer to a nearby Catholic children's home; transfer to Switzerland and life until the end of the war. Emigration to the United States; aliya to Israel, 1980's.
